Enterprise software veteran brings knowledge, experience, strategy to early-stage Wi-Fi performance management company
7signal, The Wi-Fi Performance Company, announced today that Bill Priemer, President and Chief Executive Officer of Hyland, is joining 7signal’s Board of Directors. Mr. Priemer is an accomplished enterprise software executive with over 25 years of experience in the information and process solutions industry. He joined Hyland in 1997 as Vice President of Marketing becoming Vice President of Sales & Marketing in 2001, Chief Operating Officer in 2005, and CEO in January 2013. Prior to joining Hyland, Mr. Priemer worked at FedEx Corporation and AST Research.
“The Internet of Things is growing exponentially because of how it can lower operating costs and increase productivity. As a result, organizations depend on reliable, high performance Wi-Fi networks to make good on this promise. Yet many mission-critical Wi-Fi networks are not managed like strategic assets,” stated Priemer. “It’s very exciting to be part of a company like 7signal that is dedicated to crafting software solutions to manage the quality of Wi-Fi networks proactively, from the user experience point of view, to ensure maximum efficiency and business continuity.”
Jeff Reedy, President and CEO of 7signal warmly welcomed Priemer, “Bill’s experience will be such a tremendous asset and we are so delighted to have him on the team. Hyland is one of this region’s greatest software success stories and we are looking forward to Bill’s contributions at the strategic level as 7signal enters the next phase of its growth.”
Mr. Priemer received a master’s degree in marketing from Northwestern University and undergraduate degrees from Boston College. He was born and raised in Northeast Ohio. While he has lived elsewhere and travels extensively, he is happy and proud to call the Cleveland area home.
7signal develops cloud-based Wi-Fi performance management software that enables enterprises such as AstraZeneca, Maserati and Steelcase, as well as service providers like Comcast and Charter Communications, to manage the Wi-Fi user experience on their networks. Software in 7signal sensors and mobile apps collect Wi-Fi performance data across the enterprise and the 7signal analytics engine presents the data as Key Performance Indicators in a browser dashboard, giving network administrator’s immediate visibility of Wi-Fi health and performance, enterprise-wide. The system enables businesses to significantly improve Wi-Fi baseline performance without adding access points, reduce troubleshooting time and lower the total cost of ownership of maintaining reliable, high performance WLANs.
