We’ve introduced 802.1X supplicant support for Ethernet authentication on the 7SIGNAL Platform, providing enhanced security for network access through wired interfaces.
For Sapphire Eye:
To enable wired interface authentication, the sensor must connect to Cloud Sonar without requiring 802.1X authentication first, allowing it to retrieve the "network key."
- In the Configurator, navigate to Manage > Network Key.
- Select Dynamic WEP with EAP Key, then right-click and choose Add Key.
- After configuring the key, go to Network Topology, select a sensor, right-click, and choose Edit.
- You will see a new option labeled 1X Key. From the drop-down menu, select the newly added network key.
For Mobile Eye:
To receive data from Ethernet connections, ensure that wired testing is enabled for the desired tests. You can enable wired testing for all tests or create specific tests for wired connections. Please note that wired testing is currently turned off by default.
Log into Mobile Eye.
- Go to Configuration | Setup.
- Select Test.
- Choose the test you want to enable and click Edit.
- From the drop-down menu, select Enabled.
